Marg Helgenberger’s CSI – Clean, Simple Image By Bonnie Siegler Growing up in rural Nebraska, Marg Helgenberger took on some odd jobs during summer vacations: working in her dad’s meat-processing plant, toiling in the bean fields and finally graduating to the cornfields. This Northwestern University graduate still gets down and dirty every week on TV’s hit crime drama CSI as crime scene investigator Catherine Willows. Getting her big acting break on the daytime soap Ryan’s Hope, she later earned an Emmy as K.C. on TV’s China Beach in 1990. Today, the mother of a teenaged son lives in Los Angeles, California, and enjoys whipping up healthy fare in her bright, airy kitchen on her days off from her busy filming schedule. We tracked her down for some clean eating tips.
