Joy Pierson

Joy Pierson is a nutritionist and restaurateur whose quest is to change people’s awareness of health and well-being, as well as its effect on the planet, by introducing them to farm-fresh, plant-based food. She has written and lectured extensively about food and nutrition and regularly leads workshops and courses. Joy and her husband, Bart Potenza, are the founders of Candle restaurants in New York and have authored three cookbooks: The Candle Cafe Cookbook, Candle 79 Cookbook and Vegan Holiday Cooking from Candle Cafe.
