Moisturizing Shaving Cream

Say hello to silky-soft skin with this DIY shaving cream.

Step into summer with this easy-to-make shaving cream for smoother skin. While most conventional shaving creams contain synthetic foaming agents and artificial fragrances, this natural version has castile soap to create lather and kaolin clay for a closer shave. Rosemary and lavender essential oils add dreamy, invigorating scents that will make you look forward to shaving!

Rosemary Lavender Shaving Cream

 1/2 cup sweet almond oil*

1/4 cup liquid castile soap

1/4 cup raw honey

2 tsp glycerin

2 tsp white kaolin clay

30 drops rosemary essential oil

20 drops lavender essential oil

1. To a small bowl, add all ingredients and whisk to combine.

2. Transfer mixture to a pump bottle and seal tightly.

3. To use, shake bottle to mix up ingredients, then pump a small amount onto wet hands and rub together to build lather. Spread over skin and shave using a razor. Rinse with warm water. (*NOTE: If you’re allergic to almonds, swap sweet almond oil for avocado oil or grape seed oil.)

The addition of sweet almond oil helps prevent razor burn and moisturizes skin while glycerin and honey act as humectants to hydrate and soften.
