Ingredients
Sauce
- 1/4 cup whole-milk plain yogurt
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tsp raw honey
- 1/8 tsp each sea salt and ground black pepper
Burgers
- 1½ lb ground chicken or turkey
- 1/4 cup finely diced baby cucumber
- 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 2 tbsp whole-milk plain yogurt
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1/8 tsp each sea salt and ground black pepper
- 4 slices Havarti cheese (about 2 oz)
- 4 slices whole-grain baguette (sliced on the diagonal about 1 inch thick)
- 4 small leaves red leaf lettuce
- 1 Roma tomato, sliced
- 1/4 cup diced avocado
Preparation
- Prepare sauce: In a small bowl, combine all sauce ingredients; set aside.
- Preheat a grill to medium-high and brush grates with oil.
- Prepare patties: In a large bowl, combine chicken, cucumber, onion, dill, 2 tbsp yogurt, 2 tsp mustard and 1/8 tsp each salt and pepper. Mix until just combined. Form 4 patties slightly larger than the baguette slices.
- Grill patties until cooked through, 8 to 9 minutes per side. During the last 2 minutes of cooking, top each burger with 1 slice cheese. Add bread to grill and cook, flipping once, until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
- Assemble burgers: Place 1 leaf lettuce on each slice of baguette, top with tomato slices, patty, sauce and avocado.
