Fresh Salsa Cruda

Stay away from the sugars and preservatives of grocery store salsa with a homemade fresh salsa crura recipe.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced Roma or heirloom 
tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup minced green onion
  • Zest and juice of 1 lime
  • 1 jalapeño chile pepper, seeded 
and minced
  • 1 clove garlic, puréed
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • Ground black pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. To a medium bowl, add all ingredients and mix until fully incorporated. Refrigerate for 10 minutes to let the flavors come together.
