When you’re craving takeout, making your own combo of protein, veggies and sauces or seasonings at home is the healthier, cheaper option. But cooking takes precious time – time you might not necessarily have on your busiest weeknights. And that’s exactly why we created this Sweet & Spicy Baked Shrimp recipe.

It’s a lunch or dinner recipe that’s so effortless and quick that it’ll be ready well before you can finish your takeout order on your smartphone. Featuring just a handful of ingredients and a cook time of just 15 minutes, you can make this complete meal any time.

Kind of like a stir-fry, but with very little prep and a seriously short cook time, this Sweet & Spicy Baked Shrimp is also customizable. You can bake the shrimp with your go-to green veggies. We like sugar snap peas, baby bok choy or green beans, but the possibilities are endless. You can use broccoli, broccolini, mustard greens or even non-green vegetables if you’d like. Just keep in mind that thicker veggies and root vegetables will extend your cook time beyond 15 minutes – so we recommend keeping it lighter and smaller to save time.

Once fully cooked and ready to serve, you can take your shrimp and veg out of the oven and layer them over a bed of grains, if you’d like. Rice, cauli rice, bulgur and even spiralized “zoodles” all make a great pairing for this flavor-packed, easiest-ever recipe.
